3 DAYS / 2 NIGHTS RHINOS & MURCHISON FALLS SAFARI

Highlights of the tour:

Day 1: Kampala → Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary → Murchison Falls (Check-in at 2:00 PM)

  • 6:00 AM: Pickup from Kampala. Drive north towards Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

  • 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

    • Guided rhino trekking (1–1.5 hours).

    • Spot white rhinos in their natural ha

  • 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park gate.

  • 12:00 PM: Arrive at the park gate and complete check-in formalities.

  • 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Drive to lodge/accommodation inside or near the park.

  • 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Check-in and lunch at accommodation.

  • 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Rest or relax after the drive.

  • 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Evening game drive in the park.

    • Spot wildlife such as elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, antelopes, and diverse birds.

  • 7:30 PM: Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Murchison Falls Full Day (Packed Breakfast, Game Drive until 10:00 AM, Boat at 11:00 AM)

  • 6:00 AM: Set off for morning game drive with packed breakfast to take along.

  • 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Morning game drive.

    • Spot wildlife at dawn when activity is highest.

  • 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Return briefly to accommodation if needed (optional quick refresh).

  • 11:00 AM – 2:00PM: Boat ride to the base of Murchison Falls.

    • Spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffalo, and birds along the Nile.

  • 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM: Lunch

  • 3:30 PM – Late Afternoon: Rest and relaxation at the lodge (swim, read, or short nature walk).

  • Evening: Dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 3: Murchison Falls → Kampala

  • 6:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Morning visit to the top of Murchison Falls (hike or viewpoint).

  • 9:30 AM – Ziplining

  • 10:30 AM: Check out immediately after the Ziplining.

  • 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Drive back to Kampala (stop for lunch en route if needed).

  • Afternoon: Arrival in Kampala. Drop-off at hotel or residence.

  • Any expenses of a personal nature

Safety Measures

  • Professional driver/guide throughout the trip

  • Guests must remain inside the vehicle during game drives

  • Follow Uganda Wildlife Authority and ranger instructions at all times

  • Life jackets provided and required during the boat cruise

  • Stay on designated paths at the waterfalls

  • Maintain safe distance from wildlife; no feeding animals

  • Students to move in groups under supervision

  • Basic first aid available; personal medication advised

Age Limits

  • Park visits and game drives: suitable for all ages with supervision

  • Boat cruise: recommended for children above 5 years

  • Ziwa Rhino tracking: minimum age 6 years, accompanied by an adult
