14-Day Chimpanzee, Rhino & Gorilla Safari in Uganda

Note: Traveling with a group reduces the cost per person. Families and friends can share the price, making this safari more budget-friendly.


Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Activities:

  • Arrive at Entebbe International Airport.

  • Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel for rest.

  • Optional evening walk along the shores of Lake Victoria.

Overnight: Entebbe hotel or lodge.


Day 2: Entebbe – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Murchison Falls

Drive: 7–8 hours
Activities:

  • Depart early from Entebbe.

  • Track white rhinos at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

  • Continue to Murchison Falls National Park.

Overnight: Lodge or safari camp near Murchison Falls.


Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park

Activities:

  • Morning game drive to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes.

  • Afternoon boat cruise along the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls.

Overnight: Same lodge/camp.


Day 4: Murchison Falls – Kibale National Park

Drive: 7–8 hours
Activities:

  • Scenic drive south with a stop at the Equator for photos.

  • Optional lunch stop in Hoima or Fort Portal.

Overnight: Lodge near Kibale Forest.


Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale

Activities:

  • Early morning chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest.

  • Afternoon Bigodi Wetland walk to observe birds, monkeys, and butterflies.

Overnight: Same lodge.


Day 6: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Drive: 3–4 hours
Activities:

  • Arrive and check in at your lodge.

  • Afternoon Kazinga Channel boat cruise to see hippos, crocodiles, and waterbirds.

Overnight: Lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park.


Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Activities:

  • Morning game drive in Ishasha sector to spot tree-climbing lions.

  • Afternoon free for relaxation or visiting local communities.

Overnight: Same lodge.


Day 8: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Drive: 6–7 hours
Activities:

  • Drive through scenic countryside with an optional stop at Lake Bunyonyi.

Overnight: Lodge near Bwindi Forest.


Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Activities:

  • Early morning briefing followed by gorilla trekking.

  • Spend up to one hour observing gorillas in their natural habitat.

Overnight: Same lodge.


Day 10: Bwindi – Lake Mburo National Park

Drive: 6–7 hours
Activities:

  • Scenic drive to Lake Mburo.

  • Optional evening nature walk to see nocturnal wildlife.

Overnight: Lodge or camp near Lake Mburo.


Day 11: Lake Mburo National Park

Activities:

  • Morning game drive to spot zebras, impalas, elands, and buffaloes.

  • Afternoon boat ride on Lake Mburo.

Overnight: Same lodge/camp.


Day 12: Lake Mburo – Entebbe

Drive: 5–6 hours
Activities:

  • Return to Entebbe with optional visit to the Botanical Gardens or local craft markets.

Overnight: Entebbe hotel.


Day 13: Optional Activities in Entebbe

Activities:

  • Visit Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary or enjoy a Lake Victoria boat cruise.

  • Relax at your hotel.

Overnight: Entebbe hotel.


Day 14: Departure

Activities:

  • Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your flight home.

  • Reflect on your unforgettable Uganda wildlife experience.
